Who is Fastfokus?

FASTFOKUS is a french based production company that I created in 2011. I started it alone and mainly focused on MTB. Today depending on the project, we are a team of filmers and photographers who work in different activities, mostly sports and nature.


What was it like hanging out with Brett Tippie?

As a MTB fan, I have always wanted to meet Brett and spend some time with him to get to know more about the showman. I was really curious to know if the guy was always full of energy even when he's not in front of a camera... And I was not disappointed. No serioustly, I had a good time every day during the shooting. Tons of jokes, smiles. He's the kind of guy you can hang out with for hours and you will always have a good time. I was able to meet his family, daughters and friends. He's a MTB pionneer but is still so passionate, like in the early days.


Did Tippie do any of his gnarly lines for you?

Yeah, Brett was so excited to show me all of his gnarly lines. It was almost impossible to shoot all of them in 10 days so we had to make some choices. I had a good taste when Brett decided to bring me to a mountain above Kamloops. It was supposed to be a gravel pit, but in the end, it was a rock pit. Really steep with huge rocks. Almost impossible for me to walk down with only a backpack. It was really gnarly.

That was real freeride, and to see this first hand was absolutely incredible for me. Even in the video, it's hard to show just how steep the line was. Insane.




Is there a new season of MTB Heroes coming out and who will you be featuring this year?

Yes, I'm really excited to announce that there is a new season coming with 10 more episodes including incredible destinations and riders.

I can't tell you all of the information right now, but we just finished the first 2 episodes and we were shooting with Jonathan Maunsell in Norway and Mike Hopkins in Madagascar. Those were two wild adventures.

Currently, we are in Alaska with Dyland Dunkerton and Curtis Robinson. We will spend the 2 weeks shooting a new adventure. You can follow fastfokus on Facebook and Instagram to see the latest news and have access to exclusive photos from behind the scenes.
