Uberbikes Floating Disc Rotors.

The following is a little first look and my understanding of Uberbike Components new lineup featuring some pretty sick, unique products.

Uberbike Components have recently released some new brake rotors. These are similar to their previous generation of floating rotors. Although now they feature 1050 alloy dissipation fins that slot into the brake band. They successfully dissipate approx 30% heat away from the brake band surface. This provides a more consistent overall brake performance. They even have infra red video footage of this under testing that shows it's no gimmick. They also return to ambient temperature much quicker than standard rotor designs too. There is also an array of colour choice too, to match the rest of your bike! Combined with their finned disc brake pads, it's a great setup in use with excellent modulation. These are a very clever design as once you are finished with the pads you can keep the fins and just install them onto your new set of pads! As part of their association with the Steve peat syndicate, all their bikes this year will be running the radiator rotors too this year.

A mock up of the rotors the SPS will be using.

We look forward to putting them through their paces and will report back with a long term review in the coming weeks. For more information visit their website at http://www.uberbikecomponents.com for pricing on these and many other truly amazing products.

Got the best of both world. Superstar alpine evo rotors, with Race matrix Finned brake pads from Uberbike. Best braking I've ever had tbh. No more fading with my set of Zee.

These pads are a blessing to everyone who likes to run the finned style, shimanos are 69 a pair up here, much cheaper to just replace the pad and re use the backing plate. Smart product.

Yeah, and the Race Matrix compound is just awesome. Much better than these crappy shimano pads (had them, hated them)

As long as the rotors are big enough and look half decent and they allow me to do a fat stoppie I'm happy
