You can get this to work if you use a vpn like www.hidemyass.com. You'll show up as coming from a different country. This one is not free, but works well. I use it all the time to watch sports etc that aren't broadcasted in the US. Yes that really is the name of the company.
Dude from Vermont here. Bernie wants further reform of the 4x event, an underrepresented minority in the bicycle community that was devastated by the greedy UCI, an udderly corrupt organization.
Dear fans from the USA, Unfortunately due to media rights the UCI youtube stream was geo-blocked for countries where TV stations acquired the license to stream the race in their country. This was the case for the US domain (where it was stream over liveextra.nbcsports.com) as well as for a lot more regions. In total 8 TV stations covered the race live over the globe. There will be a highlights video later coming this weekend where the great 4Cross action can be followed.
For everyone that thinks Redbull media player sucks, we have been given the gift of NBC app. Oh wait this app is blocked by my cable company.
Long Live RedBull!
...and to stick the knife in further the UCI posts the winner on their site before the feed works. Nevermind. I guess that's the reaction the UCI wants towards 4X, just nevermind.
Bunch of whiners! Remind me again who is doing something for your so much loved 4X besides UCI? They didn't kill 4X,it was already dying, victim of lack of star riders. We all know that it always was more BMX than MTB.
@nozes: Not sure about that. I never watched a World Cup 4x race and thought it was too much like BMX. They have not run knobbies in BMX for the last 10 years cant say that about 4x. UCI killed 4x along with minimal industry support.
@kjl845: The industry doesn't support 4X because it sells 0 bikes. I'm not that worried about letting go 4X in the world cup,but I think it should have evolved into something more representative of our sport. I feel the same for the short-track xc you have in the States,it looks more road crit than mtb.
It's only available in countries in which someone does not own the broadcasting rights. You probably got screwed because NBC wants to air it in 3 months at 2 in the morning.
All is good in Bulgaria, streaming perfectly.... and what a final ! controversy with Slavic being put down to the small final over a start line infringement, the Slovenian............. ah, i won't ruin it for those who are going to have to watch on replay... bring on Sunday, time for a few beers methinks :-)
I got to see the 2010 World Champs in Windham NY. The 4x was awesome to watch in person because you could see most of the track in certain spots. It is a better live spectator sport then DH where you can only see a small section.
@FlyingDutch: Dont be saying that. Its bad enough when you've a first minister whos constantly trying to screw you over without being able to watch a wee bit racing :-(
@billyboysdad: Places where the rights to the race have been sold are getting geo blocked dude. Looks like doesn't apply to the Uk but clearly someone in the US has bought the coverage so its blocked there.
Just missed it, but usually when she doesn't win the Worlds she either gets DSQ'd for no apparent reason, messes up whilst leading the pack or crashes hard when trying to overtake on the biggest double because she doesn't settle for silver.
Yep, she wasn't particularly fast out of the gate but then crashed along with the last rider. She was probably fastest down the rest of the track but it just wasn't enough to claim silver or gold.

Maybe UCI needs some freedom.
Perhaps 'Murcia could go offer some freedom?
