is that shaun palmer in the third last picture with peaty?? what a shame that he is not out there for racing anymore. hope to see a video coverage...dual and 4x are still one of the best spectators` raceformats IMO.

i work in switzerland and live very close and i really love switzerland...i would love to see an interview with the redalp guys and their answer to questions about the looks. in germany we say "i get eyecancer"

i can say that poc's protection is spot on!! i bought the most expensive jacket the poc vpd 2.0 jacket with elbow, shoulder back and front protection end of last season (got 30 euros off at least)...i can recommend poc to anybody...of course it is a lot of money but you dont actually feel almost anything. i think its worth it...i even sometime wear it when i go dirtjumping (i am a little sissy with dirtjumpbikes and bigger doubles compared to bikepark jumps). and with that jacket nobody can say that it is bothering while riding anymore. it works well with the neckbrace as well. really the most comfortable jacket i have ever worn (came from oneals hellraiser). so thats why the poc kneepad is maybe worth a try and even worth the money.

i havent ridden an ellsworth..it may be nice to ride and the main frame really looks nice, but what the hell did the think when the were drawing the rear part of the frame...i dont get it...why make it look ugly on purpose??

i actually liked chatel mountain style how it was practised. i mean at least one more contest that is real freeride in the FMB tour. of course slopestyle and dirt are totally insane but kinda not freeride...and you cant do anything against strong winds, do you!? of course i am disappointed as well because i live 2.5h away ;-)

might be interesting for a few of you. i have a 2012 lyrik dual positon air. i let the online bike shop i bought it from change the travel settings from 160/130 to 180/150 for my scott voltage, where you can set the rear from 180 to progressive 160..i can confirm the forks feel in the review... the rebuilt from the online store didnt even cost me extra cash. they just exchanged the lower legs and a few other minor things...you also can rebuilt it to 170/140..i think its the perfect fork for freeride/AM...and it really feels similar to the boxxers i have on my DH bike...thanks RS for making this awesome option work so well. i tried it in the bikepark morgins (ben walker shapes the trails there) on a rooty red trail...compared to an 2010 fox van R (160mm) the lyrik just felt better (DH feel). fox might feel a little stiffer and more progressive though...so on bikepark bumpy trails the lyrik wins it easily FOR ME. and you have a 2220g 180mm fork...who can beat that. i dont have a long time review on this one because i ride my DH bike more often in parks...

what..there are plenty of gondolas, chairlifts and skilifts in gstaad...why shouldnt there be room for several tracks?? best would be in zweisimmen with the long gondola. http://ski.intermaps.com/gstaad//index.swf?lang=de&Aktuell=Lifte i really hope they build something similar like in chatel/les gets/morgins...would be like a 2h car ride away from where i live. i thhink there is a good chance for that...i know a guy from velosolutions and i know how ben walker builds his trails in morgins...awesome!! looking forward to hear news...
