i still don't consider this a win for 29ers. few micro seconds between a 29 short travel (pedal machine) vs a V10 on 26. Both riders are "equals" IMO.
sorry 29er, first hypothesis H0 -> 29er > 26er rejected. I'll wait for a proof of a really significant advantage before i lose all the playfulness of my bike to gain seconds.
kiding, I already sold my 29er and won't get there again.

it won't change a thing if it's place where ever aroung for brake jack as long as it is attached to the swingarm of a single pivot. A good test to see how much "brake jack" a bike have : let it stays as still as possible (the rear wheel should not be moving on the ground) than pump the bike. You'll see the caliper moving aroung the disk a little. this is what cause the instability when braking and taking bumps at the same time. Most single pivot will have a very similar amount of brake jack, depending where the pivot it attached to the front triangle. other design like the split pivot (still a single pivot) attache the brake to the other arm (no the one directly linked to the front triangle) to limit brake jack
