WHAT A SHAME he won the monthly contest and not the overall ? ? (or is it possible to win both win one video?) this guy ROCK$ he got so robbed previous contest, he sould have won there too... www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF3KIlTfuY0

super sketchy riding though, couldn't he have filmed it a couple of times so he doesn't keep falling off?
  • 10 0
Why did they cut off the wreck on fabios video? oh shit oh f*ck f*ck f*ck shit
  • 3 0
He reminds me of the kool aid guy in family guy, oh no oh no oh no, OH YEAH!
  • 2 0
wait, where's the rest of the video?
  • 24 1
I had a great time watching these videos, but I really don't understand the "Beauty and Lighting" category. I was actually floored by the scenery in the Capt Ahab video, but it got the same score from Secco as "The Paddock" video? Maybe I just don't understand what that category represents.
  • 8 1
I hate coming across as a complainer, sorry. I had fun watching all the videos. Ill just cast my vote.
  • 3 0
There's no shortage of complainers on PB. Hehee
  • 21 3
The right person won, for sure - that was insane and original
  • 8 0
The concrete log was intense. Anyone know how Kollbeck kept his GoPro so still? there was no shaking at all!
  • 3 0
To the Kollbeck question: a camera gimbal.
  • 1 0
Anyone know if the wearable gimbals can be pointed down but stay steady? I've only seen them used on chest mounts- if it was on my lid I would want it pointing down slightly rather than being dead level. Tried looking online but I can't seem to find this out without buying one!
  • 5 2
It's the stupid thing YouTube has been doing lately.. It gives you a "Your video may be shaky. Would you like to try our video stabilizer?" notification, and it keeps the box with "Yes" checked, unless you uncheck it. It's really inconvenient and makes the videos look bad
  • 1 0
Thanks for the info! I'm wanting one now! @NR8productions l looked at some of the wearable gimbals, looks like you can mount the GoPro tilted forward with a wedge or something, but doesn't appear you can get the gimbal to tilt forward itself, not sure if that makes sense. I looked at some biking vids filmed with chest mount gimbal and looks awesome! I don't know if the YouTube anti shake feature would do that good of a job.
  • 2 0
Kolbi's gimbal makes video nice from a chest mount. Really nice! But it died when we were riding Portal. Shame. They make them too sensitive and light to survive the thrashing we give them.
  • 1 0
According to this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=59eOInPKH14 (around the 2 minutes mark), yes you can point them anywhere and it will keep pointing that way.
  • 7 1
Fabio's was beyond sick, but I sure got some weird looks when I had the sound on in my house...
  • 3 0
I don't envy the judges, but I think the process wins out with the average. Lots of cool stuff this month and stoked to get a nod for my vid. Dylan's was my favorite because it's badass and not contrived...and I'm jealous of people who can float backflips. I've gotta step it up to earn Secco's performance & style points Wink

Any of the Rampage pov's would've crushed. Why didn't we see any of that?
  • 8 3
Sheffer shouldve won. The dude built his entire trail himself and dialed it for the video.
  • 5 3
.... he didn't build it for this contest, bud.
  • 4 0
"dialed it for the video"...I think knapton meant he made sure the already built trail was spot on for this video. I'd have to say it was a tie between him and Fabio for me. Totally different video, but both equally sick riding!
  • 7 1
^ I see your point of view on that. And yeah, tough choice, that trail is so insane and so is his riding. so cool.
  • 5 0
i mean he hit it completely clean. 1st place was super sketchy imo
  • 10 6
We can all say that the judging here is fair, unlike Rampage. #semenukgotrobbed
  • 6 0
 teton pass for sure
  • 3 1
I'm glad Fabio won first, easily most entertaining and crazy gopo vid i've seen yet. I've even seen that vid strewn across Fb.
  • 7 3
I’m sorry but it’s between Teton Pass and Captain Ahab just because.
  • 4 2
Massive difference between Paul raks points and the rest of the judges for wibners video. Mmmmm
  • 2 0
I thought Paul Rak's judging was slightly more spot on...just my opinion tho!
  • 3 0
what are those chest mounts with no shaking?
  • 2 0
 Gimbals. They look amazing too!
  • 2 0
at first I thought it looked awesome, but then I think it damps down too much the image, it takes some of the adrenalin away IMHO. cheers
  • 2 0
Ive seen them used in MTX to better effect- I don't think he needed a gimbal for that particular clip as it was quite slow and technical and you would have been able to see it fine without one, but when the rider is going really fast I think the benefits are much greater. You can actually make a bit more sense of what's going on!
  • 3 0
Seems like the kind of contest that should be for amateurs.
  • 2 0
teton is shredding the hardest terrain
  • 3 1
holy shit Fabio wtf was that mind=more blown than an industrial grade fan
  • 2 0
Really stepped up the competition this month
  • 1 0
Kolbi Ahab video was great. So wish I was there right now... And in three months!
  • 1 0
Ahab got cleaned right in front of your eyes, that was so sick. My kind of riding.
  • 1 0
Is there any spot on Ahab that is hard to clean? I can't think of any off-the-top. That sandy river crossing at the bottom is the biggest pain!
  • 1 0
The two videos with the chesty, how did they stabilize the video like that?
  • 1 0
third place camera angle hurts my eyes.
  • 2 0
 Yeah nargle
  • 1 0
and for once judges didn't rob the deserving first place
  • 1 0
So happy Fabio won. He's one of my favorite riders. Congrats dude
  • 1 0
I was unable to watch the last one.
  • 1 0
 Satire maybe?
  • 1 0
Im sorry but full face and rigid forks dont mix in my head.
  • 1 0
I think Claudio should wear gimbals for the course previews next season!
  • 1 0
 De serve the win
