Just like Zocchi nickel stanchions, plating is plating , just like paint, one chip an the rest comes off as well.....Very fast once moisture and contamination enter affected area it tends to grow and shrink with ambient temp further exaggerating it.
sucks
Rockshox won't release DLC stanchion tubes for this exact reason.....

I did not hear any mention of Ricor, uuuhhhmmmm..
I think someone who had idea and implemented it first but failed to properly patent idea for bicycles should get some credit for Inertia valve concept.....
