Video of the Month - September 2012

Video of the Month is an article showcasing the best Videos of the Day from the month before. We take the most viewed videos from the previous month, and pick our favorites out of the top 10.

Every now and then a video comes along that just really makes me stoked to go ride my bike, and this month that video is Loam Factory. I've always been a fan of the stuff that Mike Hopkins and David Peacock have put together, and this is no exception! Pretty stoked to see not one but two videos featuring women in the top 5 this month as well, that's something that's never happened before. And both of them feature Micayla Gatto, which pretty much makes her our video of the month star. I'm also stoked about the first runner up as well, "At home with Kirill Benderoni" There is just something awesome about it. Perhaps because it's a seemingly lower budget vid from Russia about some guy most people have never ever heard of, and he just goes out and kills it. Anyway, watch them all and enjoy!

I don't usually get half way through these videos but that one sucked me in by making me think he was shitter than me, then it cuts to him ripping the shit out of it on a DH bike. It looks like it's sped up! Savoury acid techno soundtrack kept me going to the end, much better than the usual guitar punk shite people put on videos. Thumbs up!

Loam is seriously one of the best short mtn bike vids i've seen. The cornering is bat-shit crazy!!!

Is the first rider in Loam the same as the guy doing the downhill stuff? If so, I (sorta) know how he feels. I can't ride street to save my life, but with a little bit if suspension and soil under me I feel like superman.

Great to see a real variety of our sport. Downhill, slopestyle, enduro. Even a bit of road cycling! Props to everyone for voting with their feet.

The best part about the Elevation video is that it doesn't use the U2 song of the same name. U2 sucks
