I have some older dainese shin/knee pads that I am in love with. They are very similar to these: http://www.dainese.com/us_en/multisport-summer/oak-knee-guard-hard-short.html The small plastic pad above the knee articulates beautifully providing excellent protection if your knee is bent or straight.

Agreed. I'm not able to put my finger on exactly why, but my gut tells me this isn't a good thing for the sport. Are these bikers athletes or circus performers?

If you look at frame 12, you can see that his left foot is not going to land on the pedal and that the wheels are already on the ground. Obviously I can't land this trick either, but I would not call this "doing" a double downside tailwhip.

a primary safety concern in choosing a helmet is the weight. A motorcycle helmet is much heavier and will put much more strain on your neck in a crash (provided that you don't wear a neck brace). Imagine your head snapping around like a rag doll with that heavy weight on your head.

Shimano 2013 - Affordable SLX Ensemble Supercharged With XTR Features
What is the point of a direct mount rear derailleur? A traditional hanger is "flimsy" intentionally. It's designed so that if you slam your derailleur on a rock you just have to replace the $3 hanger instead of breaking your frame or your derailleur. Please, someone explain this to me.

Twenty6 Predator Pedal Review
Why is pinkbike so obsessed with overpriced pedals? It seems like half of their product reviews are pedal reviews, and honestly, I feel like pedals are one of the lowest-tech parts on a bike. I can understand devoting a huge amount of time in reviewing a fork or a wheelset, but pedals? Why the special attention?
