From the Top: Scott's Pascal Ducrot
As a brand rep from a rival European bike brand I really found this very interesting and, in a way, comforting that we share many concerns/issues. The ever-growing catalogue is definitely one. Every year the bike catalogue seems to grow by 10 pages and I hate this. Dealers and customers are overwhelmed by the choice. It's far too much. Like you say, we really need to focus

Rachel Atherton Wins Action Sportsperson of the Year
@jacobite321: saying the industry "needs to do this or that" is a demand. Same thing. Equally pointless

Rachel Atherton Wins Action Sportsperson of the Year
@makdthed: loads of people demand "the industry" does this or that. Complete waste of time - is my point. Petulance is utterly futile

Rachel Atherton Wins Action Sportsperson of the Year
@makdthed: blaming "the industry" is kinda pointless and a bit like a barking dog in a forest. Women's DH just isn't very interesting to watch. There I said it. Click the down arrow to make me cry myself to sleep

@sprockets: Yeah thanks for the advice and link. To be honest, I am aware that I can cut some kind of elastomer thing down, but it sounds kinda dodgy and I'm not really into fettling with fork internals either. I guess I can't have it both ways!

Canyon Preparing for US Launch
Sorry to sound like every comment above, but I think Spesh/Trek's biggest problem is also Trump, not Canyon. Their frames and components are all built outside of the US

Been on 150mm Auron's for just over a year. Really tough and hard working fork. Damping is great. My only slight gripe is they ramp up a little too early and very rarely get anywhere near the last 20mm of travel, but it does at least mean they remain very composed and don't feel mushy. Really suit aggressive riding, they love being pushed hard into turns. Think of them as a long 120mm travel fork with a bottom out that you'll only really see in emergency situations

Bluegrass Brave Helmet - Review
Wasn't D3O proven to be a fairly bad idea for providing protection in that it simply transfers all the impact energy to whatever it's covering? Putting it in a helmet sounds a bit iffy. Why not use one of the dampening foams that dissipates impact forces
