Film Making Workshop in the Swiss Alps

It seems that just about everyone out there has some type of "on-board" camera strapped to themselves or their steed. We all love to capture our heroic feats and adventures, whether it's on a racecourse or simply out on the local trails having a blast with friends. As "vain" as we all are we then hurry to upload them to our favorite social meeting grounds on the web and/or other video sharing platforms for everyone to admire. Unfortunately we don't all have the skills to make our videos stand out, and that doesn't necessarily come down to riding skills, but more certainly the skills behind the lens and the post production know how to create that "I need to get on my bike right now" sensation!

Luckily there are guys out their like Tom, from Filme von Draussen who knows exactly what he's doing and is willing to share his knowledge to make that YouTube, Vimeo, PInkbike and Zapiks universe a much easier place on your eyes. Tom has teamed up with Gabriel from Inspired Mountain Bike Adventures to create the first mountain bike specific film making workshop that'll take place this summer in the heart of the Swiss Alps.


From their base, in a luxurious chalet perched 5000ft above Sion, Switzerland, they'll guide you out on some of the best singletrack in the Alps and teach you how to put into practice all the advice Tom is able to give in 7 days! With some of Europe's highest snowcapped peaks as a backdrop everyone will be sure to get the footage they need, as each day we'll be shooting in new spots and working on new ways to creatively record the riding action. This "Ride & Record" formula guarantees that each rider not only learns to film, but gets filmed each day as they make their way through the high alpine terrain and down 7000ft descents. Each evening is filled with lessons in post production to best optimize the footage and craft that impression that even non-bikers will want to get out and ride.
