Pinkbike Awards - Slopestyle/Freeride Athlete of the Year
There's no way anybody can take this away from Semenuk, it's certainly deserved. His technical ability and his constant strive for perfection have earned him this title. That being said, I think Pinkbike choosing Semenuk says a lot about what they believe slopestyle/freeride should be and where they want it to be going. That is, the heavily sponsored trick based with judges type events, and less going huge or session type events, a la Fest Series and Rampage. Otherwise, they would have surely picked Andreu Lacondeguy. Maybe consider splitting up slopestyle and freeride? This might open up a space for riders who don't do the FMB circuit to be nominated. Just a suggestion.

Pinkbike Awards: Downhill Bike of the Year
Blah. So someone should make a mountain bike forum for the economically minded. It will be so exciting. :| Maybe they can focus on the bikes that offer the best safety features, such as reflectors, too.

Pinkbike Awards: Downhill Bike of the Year
Why do people keep posting this comment? You don't go to car forums to look at Hyundais, you go to look at Ferraris.

Opinion: The Bearded Woman
Well, I guess that statement came off a bit pedantic. In Utah, ski-touring has really taken off, and I personally love it. I started just to keep in shape during the winter, but have grown to love it equally with mountain biking. You can get an AT setup for cheaper than most fatbikes. The terrain that is available to you really opens up on a touring setup.

Here's a better question, why is fatbiking even an option? Ski-touring is my winter mountain biking, so much more efficient. I guess fatbikes are good in the snow in places where there aren't mountains though.

Specialized S-Works Enduro 650B - Review
Not sure why they had to come out with a 650b option, the enduro 29r is easily one of the best bikes on the market in it's category, regardless of wheel size.

Ask Pinkbike: Trail Bike Upgrades, Regaining Confidence, and Timing Systems
Very true. Put in as many laps as you can. A good place to do this is a bike park. You'd be amazed at what one day at a bike park can do.

Video: Forgotten Trail of the Uintas with Porter and the Provo Bros
Ah, I was thinking about getting there via Evanston. Didn't think there was a way through to the North side via Kamas. My bad man.
