Pinkbike Awards: Comeback of the Year
Yeah, of course he isn't going to start racing again. Palmer's never going to be on the same level as the current riders, the thing is though is for someone as inspirational as him to finally come back to a sport after a good ten years is amazing. The young riders he's being a mentor to, probably grew up watching him ride which probably makes it so much better he's come back, no. He isn't going to start racing again(Well, I don't think so) but his return is enough to call it a comeback. Plus another thing is with him still being on Intense it's going to look good for them, he pretty much made the M-1 as popular as it was, his stars and stripes M-1 that he rode at the World Champs in 1996 is probably one of the greatest bikes ever, he gave Downhill the image it needed, he had the attitude, the bike and the style. Not too sure everyone's giving him the respect he deserves here, the guy's a legend and you really can't deny it. I personally think this article was a little inaccurately titled. These riders have all still been here for the past few years, fair enough they've had injuries etc but the term comeback doesn't really apply to them.

Yes but that rule wouldn't have been introduced if it weren't for him wearing baggy gear.

Someone who pretty much changed Downhill racing came back. Think you should actually think about what he's done, if he never came into the sport most of the Downhill racers would still be wearing lycra. Don't know why I'm getting neg props anyway.

Pinkbike Poll: How Far Away Are Your Closest DH Trails?
I live probably about 30 minutes(in the car) from Innerleithen and about 20 from Glentress, there's some amazing places to ride in the Tweed Valley so I'm not too bothered, there's Caberston which is pretty much the ''enduro'' trails, Innerleithen has Downhill then Glentress is pretty much just the average trails/xc riding. There's some pretty nice trails close to my house too. Got an indoor skatepark opening that's like ten minutes from my house on the bike so yeah I'm pretty stoked about that.

It's a 20.75 man, I'm short so I don't really need a bigger size
