In 2001 I made the journey down to Virgin, UT for my first time. I was honoured to be chosen to judge the best freeriders in the world as they showed us what was possible on 26 inchers. Little did we know what Rampage would become and 14 years later here we are...I took a few shots along the way and thought I would share some of my Rampage experiences.

Judges ridge in 2002 consisted of photographer Dave Reddick, an injured Joe Schwartz, a semi-retired World Champ Myles Rockwell and Head Judge Jim Conway.

2003 Canadian Dream Team with Thomas Vanderham, Dave Watson and Darren Berrecloth. Big Brad and Pouch giving moral and mental support. Just fackin' giver....

2004 was not kind to everyone especially Michal Marossi who injured his paw with his "no holds barred" style of riding. Dr. Bourdo concurs...

Another Kamloops classic, Matt Hunter getting his hands dirty just before the 2004 finals.

Glyn was one of the first riders to show up with a crew of diggers. Realizing your run was only as good as your line, he invested the time and man power but was unable to better his 2003 3rd place finish.

A young lad from England was ready to show the world what he was made of and stomped the Super T drop to score 2nd in 2004.

The Euro invasion continues, the Irish Roller, Glyn O'Brien.

Captain America with a french twist...hot off his win from 2003 Cedric tried to be the first to repeat the title.

Ever hear of the Rampage curse? This pic pretty much sums it up.

Everyone got in the Halloween spirit and Big Brad tried to convince Mike Kinrade he needed some life style adjustments. Kinradical just wasn't buyin' it...

Dude, you just got silly string in the judge's vodka redbull...Spangler and the Claw are not amused.

Wait, let me guess, Smokey and the Beardit? Redbull Media House's Scott Hart and 2004 Champ the Sugar Bear.

Zink: "I'm goin' to 360 the Oakley Sender!" Andreu: "I'm going for the podium but fourth would be OK..."

I would assume 2003. He did pretty good in the 04 event unless he was ripping around injured which wouldn't be all too surprising.

2008. They were still riding for commencal at the time. The crash is in one of the atherton project episodes i believe.

......Someone please do a career retrospective/ interview with Super-T going over his many feats of biking greatness. The guy was ( and is no doubt still) one of the best all around riders ever. From massive jumps, drops and gaps to the most ridiculous North Shore skinnies he could do it all. Breaking his femur in the Stund days seemed to take the wind out of his sails. I used to go to his shop in Abbottsford whenever I was on the mainland. I once asked him where some good riding spots were around Abby and he spent the next 20 minutes printing off maps for me and writing out directions in order to find some of his favorite spots. Super-T is one of the real legends of this sport and should not be forgotten.

I remember watching those green hats tromping all over the mountain in 2004. Of course, I also remember watching Cedric buzz Winnebagos on a moto in costume as well.
