Mountain Creek closed out their record-setting 2015 season it fine fashion last weekend with the return of the Trick or Creek Halloween Jump Jam and a 200+ rider mega train for the Last Run Down. Offering one of the longest lift-served downhill seasons in North America, May 2 - Nov 1, Mountain Creek's Cabriolet Gondola came to stop last Sunday evening putting an end to a season which saw record attendance and growth for the park. Not ones to go quietly into the long winter night, Mountain Creek celebrated the closing weekend in true Jersey fashion. Saturday saw the return of their much-loved Halloween Jump Jam. Complete with live music played trailside by the Strip Down, and costumes and tricks a plenty to keep the onlookers entertained.
The weekend and the season concluded with the Last Run Down celebration on Sunday evening after the last cabin stopped turning. This crazy downhill mega-train has become an annual tradition for the Mountain Creek locals allowing everyone to get one last lap in with their buddies before the season ends. So much for never calling "Last Run"!
I want to see some numbers. How many people rode the park this season compared to last year, and estimate of income.
Know how much money MTB can bring could be used to entice my city government to accommodate mountain bikers.
Can't wait for my leg to heal up to ride MCBP, Blue, and all the other great parks out here next spring. Also, best song used in an edit ever. The Manowar one in the Agassiz one was close, but this takes the cake. So so so tired of hearing floaty slow goofy atmospheric stuff, bad hip hop, or just boring crap. More punk, hardcore and metal please. The skate vids in the 90s had it right.
Mountain Creek does it right, awesome way to wrap up the season! And I died laughing when the 2 person bike stalled out trying to go up and over that rock hahaha
That was some big boy music right there for all you 15 year olds, wussified hipsters, and panty-waisted roadie's. And no, they are not talking about e-bikes. \m/
