Val D'sere is yet another stop on the road of the World Cup circuit this year for Team Chain Reaction Cycles. But its proving to be an exciting one for the Team with the decision by Nukeproof to roll out the Prototypes of the new Pulse for public viewing and the team to try out in anger!
The Pulse is basically an improved version of the Scalp that the team have been racing and developing for the past year. MTBcut are currently filming a full feature on the development process and testing of the bike up until now, but in the meantime here's our CRC mechanic Carl Geeson to talk you through the basics of the new bike!
The riders and loving shredding the new bike on this Val D'Isere course. Its short but fast, and until yesterday's qualifying, it was super dusty. Racing is undoubtedly going to be close on this track. Here's a GoPro view of the course with the man who's been at the top of his game this season, Matt Simmonds
Our MTBcut snapper Sebastien Schieck has been killing it with the photos this season. Here are some of the stunning images courtesy of his camera this weekend.
Do you think they get time to admire the view mid run?
Dropping in!!

Before the rains came.
All the Team made is safely through qualifying yesterday, so give us a cheer when watching the live coverage on Pinkbike this weekend. We'll also have a full video of the new Pulse coming in the next few weeks as well so keep a look out for that!
oh please oh please . . .
just got myself the MEGA frame!!
No she looks good. Weight was definitely something I noticed when working on the scalps so this is a positive step!
Nothing bothers me more than people (especially other riders, they should know better!) standing on the track or very close to it.
It is annoying as hell, gets me out of "the zone" because I have to be aware of them and puts both me AND them in danger.
Sometimes I almost want to crash into them on purpose. Maybe taking a Transition to the knee will help them using their brains next time they go near a downhill track.
2. Physics suggest that your poorly executed attempt at sarcasm is actually true. Regardless of speed I would be faster than any world cup rider if he/she is stationary.
@ldhbaker - That was unprofessional but I am frustrated by the attitude and flawed logic of people like andyschotke. I go to bike parks to ride (and have to drive 5-7 hours for decent downhill parks), but should stay at home because other people like to go there to stand still? That doesn't make any sense.
this track is soooo step
even on the video you can feel it.
those idiots so close to some good lines..... fu#$%#
