Pinkbike Poll: How Many Days Did You Ride In 2015?
In the 150+ category, the key to a happy life is a workplace with showers and a trail between work and home :)

Pinkbike Poll: Time to Geek Out - What's Your Ideal Tire and Rim Width?
Depends on the wheel size surely? For sure I would put a 2.5-2.6 tyre on a 26", and basically have a 650B and be laughing all the way to the bank. The fast enduro guys all seem to be putting 2.4-2.5 on their 27.5 bikes. I ride an enduro 29er, it is very hard to find tyres larger than 2.3, basically you can go for Schwalbes in 2.35 which are quite wide and nice. Recently saw that maxxis have some not too heavy 2.5s. I think if more 2.5 tyres came out for 29ers, the 27.5+ fad would die out even faster...

Pinkbike Poll: How Much Should a Top DH Racer Be Paid?
Well put above, it is both a question of how many years they can race vs how well paid should the top 20-40 guys be paid. With a bit of planning, a racer earning 200k for 4-5 years can set himself up for life easily by paying off a decent chunk of a house or investing in a business, when these guys retire at ~30 they need some options. The big question is how many guys are trying to "go pro", ignoring education/work experience to ride outside the top 20 for little to no pay. I'm not saying it is a bad lifestyle for an 18-24 year old, but I dont think it leads to a healthy sport. Also, sadly, hard work/performance doesnt correlate to pay all that much, when you consider how many privateers there are in the top 40 of enduro, it may have changed in the last year, but a lot of the younger fast guys were basically getting bikes/expenses and no pay for all their hard work, even tho they are helping sell the most profitable bikes. (sorry for the rant)

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Ride At Night?
Yup, I have a similar model from China that I got for about $40 and it puts my exposure joystick I bought for 200 to shame! It is still a good compromise to have the heavy battery+lamp on the frame/bars and keep the joystick on the helmet for backup and tight corners.

The Athertons Sign With Trek - Interview and Analysis
I know for a fact there are guys in the top 10 at EWS who make less than 50k, so I would be surprised if riders outside the top 10 in DH are making that 300K estimate above... Isn't 300k what Palmer was paid back when the Sport had huge corporate sponsors and all teams had massive trucks? Maybe the top 5 are approaching that kind of money, but I wouldn't bet on it tbh.
