Recreational alpine riding is my thing. Entourage when I feel like crazy lines, Tanuki when I'm crazy short on time. STP for summer street riding, Old-School rigid for winter commuting and times I need an unnoticeable bike.

First Look: Polygon Collosus N9
I had no opinion on it's looks until I looked at the geo.... only then did it start to look appealing... 431mm stays? yes please. Screw looks, how well does it work? Those NUMBERS look appealing.

Life In The Loops - No Beard, No Ride
Patchy is only shame if you don't have the prerequisite eff-it attitude. Bad grooming habits are just easier than fighting a losing battle.

First Look: SRAM Guide Trail Brakes – Power, Precision and Control
I, for one, hope the codes remain unchanged. Best power/modulation/cost solution I have found thus far. Shimano is doing a great job, but only if you need more than 30% at that moment. My codes offer incredible control at "barely-there" braking levels when I need to scrub just a shade of speed for a corner entry, yet all-out power is more than adequate when needed.

Learn More About Your Local Bike Shop
I'm just desperately trying to clean up our shop's rep due to some dkbags that used to staff the place. I'm going to do my best no matter what. If that means pouring a coffee for them, so be it. At the end of the day, however, the customers that bring beer are just trying to show their appreciation, and I LOVE graciously accepting. I shouldn't have to give coffee, but I will. You don't have to bring beer, but..........

Absolutely. Lighting is Bang-on. Composition correct. Nice Timing. That 70-200 is truly a beautiful lens, both in imaging and construction.

Press Release: The Transition TR500 Is Coming. Are You Ready?
Park-bike and DH sled are pretty specific in terms of intended use..... "freeride" is broad as F. I laughed when I looked at giant's website and saw my '09 STP SS categorized as a "freeride" bike. FR is still alive, but let's not use it a a category of bikes. I also wish we would quit labeling bikes as "Enduro" bikes. Enduro is a term you only get to throw around if you race.enduro. Both terms are wayyyyyy too broad. examples: my 170mm entourage is a "mini-DH". The 180mm specialized "Enduro EVO"? 180mm (or "long-travel") All-mountain. Scott voltage? Park Bike. My STP? still stock, and "streetbike" in my world. I could go on and on and on and NEVER use "freeride" or "enduro" to label ANY bike. Either of those words causes my eyes to involuntarily roll as I sigh.
