i saw you were looking for a new cassette in the entourage thread. let me know if youd be interested in a lightly used 11-23 1050 cassette. i might be getting rid of a x9t2 der as well.

Ask Pinkbike: Rim Width, Angle Headsets, and Carbon Cranks
I think you're right. In my neck of the woods riders seem more concerned with their bike than their abilities. Very few folks really NEED carbon anything.

Opinion: Do You Suffer From Bike Envy?
Wow, LOTS of comments here! 1)There are plenty of more expensive bikes than mine 2)There are plenty of less expensive bikes than mine 3)There are plenty of riders more capable than I am 4)There are plenty of riders less capable than I am I don't suffer from bike envy, I'm totally happy with my bike. I stuffed 3k into it very carefully and the only bike I can think of that might even cause a twinge of envy is a TR250 with a FOX van 36 RC2. Even then, I'd have to keep my entourage around in case it couldn't induce the same shit-eatin grins. The shop I work at is continually giving me shit for turning up my nose at gucci components because they aren't "Blue-Collar" You don't have to be rich to have a nice bike and enjoy it. YOU ARE NOT YOUR FUCKING KHAKIS

Ask Pinkbike - Single Pivot vs Four Bar and Internal Routing vs Water
Um, did the test without the shock. At the end of the day, the bike exhibits VIRTUALLY no brake input and the ride is phenomenal. Nerd session over for me until YOU put an entourage sans shock in the stand.

GM9- You're right! It does try and compress the shock. No matter how fast I spin up the wheels it won't budge more than about 5mm. I've ridden quite a few SP that were horrible ON TRAIL and the Entourage feels input-free in comparison. Chalk that up to clever pivot placement (and not just the main). I'll take all the strengths of the bike and forgive the incredibly miniscule amount of brake input and just enjoy the ride.
