Hinton is so rad, we have all of this in our back yard and its relatively unknown. Another awesome edit by Devon Brown, oxburger studios killing it again.

So if one was to do a three day trip to Hinton to ride, what trails would you recommend, where would you stay and where would you drink post ride?

Trails depend on what you like to ride. The park has great riding from flow trails, dirt jumps and pump tracks. Gasifier is old school, fall line, rooty dh. Froehler's is the classic trail in central/north Alberta, as far as I see it. Happy Creek Trails is great xc and Vigilante is a must. And there's more too.

There are plenty of hotels and a few places to drink. We stay at the campgrounds and drink around the fire.

Don't forget to get an HMBA membership while in town. They do awesome work.

Be sure to go to Vicious Cycle Hinton and grab a trail map. The Lake View Inn Suites is very biker friendly! For post ride drinks, Boston Pizza has an awesome bike photo display in their lounge. Go to the Hinton Mountain Bike Association facebook page and ask if anyone is riding or shuttling. Ranger, Vigilante, Stinger and the Midway Pump track are the newest trails.
