I liked it cuz there was no slow mo. Slowing down 3/4 of the footage in a 3:00 minute video is lame and played out, but so many people do it, save the slow mo for the bangers... or better yet do what these guys did and don't slow mo anything.
raw implies it either is sooper dooper ill, which this video was regardless, or that it was unedited or something. idk just feels unnecessary and cheesy
I enjoyed that... raw is strange at first, but then you realize it's really quite awesome!
Thanks god it's raining again soon, shredding almost every day in Septembruary practically did me in.
It's insane how dry things are. You can't go wrong. Snow's pretty much gone on low to mid trails. Nelson got a valley dump of snow but that'll be gone soon enough
The hardest part is to decide what trails to ride with the limited time you have in either area. Real question is what kind of trails are you looking for? Most important factor is to just check the weather in both areas before you leave. Nelson is in the area of Rossland and Retallack (7 hours drive). Pemberton is like 12 hours drive for you. Your going to have to find a way to spend sufficient time in both areas sooner or later in life. There just that good. But if you are on a tight schedule, and you need to plan ahead of time regardless of weather. I would book a stay at Retallack and check out that new trail Mike Kinrade helped build. Apparently it is the epitome of modern MTB trails, brand new and everybody is supposed to like it no matter what riding style.
Thanks for the input guys. I personally like tech and steeps (Razors edge favorite local trail) which leans toward Nelson, but the gf will be there too and it sounds like Nelson might be a little too full on for her.
Well that settles that then. Nelson is working on some intermediate stuff but it's not got the variety of Pemberton, Squamish and the existing Whistler trails that are open.
Any must do rides you'd recommend? We have 5 days to ride. Was thinking of bringing the big bikes for a day or two at whistler bike park too but I'm guessing opening weekend will be uncomfortably busy with just the fitz chair.
Pemberton and Squampton do have some shuttles but the big bikes will limit you unless you can arrange to shuttles. Stop by BikeCo and pickup a map to get some ideas. In Squampton stop by Republic/Corsa/Tantalus. I can recite trailnames but you're looking at a month and half from now so it's kind of useless. You'll want trails that won't kill your gf too I'd imagine
Raw in this context means Raw footage....as in footage without sound / heavy editing...
