FMB World Tour - Lublin Sportival Preview

Have you ever wondered what a dirt route made of 700 tonnes of clay, 2000 linear meters of wood and 40 tonnes of scaffolding would look like? Soon you will have a chance to see it for yourself! Lublin Sportival (FMB World Tour) is coming up on 29 - 31 May.




The track at the Lublin Sportival will be the most complicated construction destined for bike competition ever built in Poland. Materials used to build this extraordinary track, for the purpose of the event, will include: 300 m2 of plywood, 40 tonnes of scaffolding, 2000 linear meters of wood, 700 tonnes of clay and a dozen or so kilograms of screws, nails and other bonding elements.







The entire construction will be placed in the area of the picturesque, historic Old Town in Lublin. The track will begin at the enormous stairway leading from the Lubelskie Museum, and end directly at the Castle Square.









The track was divided into four elements that will perfectly check the competitors' abilities and will allow them to present the best tricks from their repertoire.



The first obstacle on which the competitors will open their ride, is a minor, flat 'drop', of the dimensions of 1,5m x 1m. Its landing was designed to smoothly transform into a wide jump of a big step-down, about 8m long, and a difference in height of about 4m. Next element will be the most spectacular obstacle on which we will observe the best, highest and most impressive tricks. A huge 10-12m 'double', that will arise in the very centre of the Castle Square, this will be the main element of the ride for competitors. Lublin Sportival track will end with a yet unseen in Europe, enormous 'corner' which will give the riders an opportunity to land in 5 different places directly in front of it, at each of the sides of the landing, as well as at its very end, after about 8m of spectacular flight! The length of the entire route adds up to more than 100m and a difference between levels to 20m. During the preliminary (29 May), as well as the finals on Saturday (30 May) Monster Energy Drink will provide loads of positive energy.
