Transition Racing's Trevor Parson tears up Port Angeles for a day on his TR450. A HUGE shout out to NW CUP organizers Casey Northern and Scott Tucker for helping us get trail access! Check out nwcup.com for info on the best DH Race Series in the PNW!
Its pretty rough, but like you see about 1:45-2:00 it is very dark under the trees, out on the peninsula. Low sun angle, clouds, and tree cover conspire to make it nearly like night riding (or Twilight riding haha bad joke). It really looks like that - which makes a rough trail rougher!
kinda agree with ya iikka , a friend of mine is a wheel chair and I can see his face looked unhappy when people are excited about riding in his wheel chair , as he puts it " it aint so funny when you live in your wheel chair " .
But I don't think this guy was being disrespectful , just having some fun.
It had been raining hard for days before, and during filming. One nice thing is that is pretty much as muddy as it ever gets here.
That little jump out of the left hander at 2.25 was sick!!!
... as for the ferry: get an off the back rack or put the bike in the car for the ferry crossing. Bike on the roof and a passenger cost is more than double taking two vehicles. Which is part of the reason we sometimes take two vehicles when we visit Orcas Island... gives an extra shuttle rig. Bummer though to be taking an extra vehicle for a bike ride.
I always strap my bike on laying down just for the ferry ride, an extra few minutes of work saves a good $20 round trip, Nice Video, really stoked for the NWcup this year!
I love the way that trail was pure techinal and no huge man made features nor big jumps just class techinacal trails , really good video and sweet riding
The riding was good, but I was a bit bothered about the wheelchair... I don´t know if you have different taste for humour there, but for me it´s just something that a healthy person shouldn´t be making fun of.
There was no intention to make fun of mentally disabled or handicapped people. I understand your concern however I can assure you that Trevor is a classy guy and was doing it simply because it's fun! Give a wheelchair a spin sometime and you'll understand.
@iika Really? Really? I mean reeeaaalllyy?? If that's what you saw from him ripping around in a wheelchair, I feel sorry for you bud. I saw a dirtbag MTBer playing on something that had wheels, nothing more. Certainly not him "making fun" of someone with disabilities. Yeesh, lighten up.
Well that sounds.. interesting...
Sweet riding!

EDIT: ReilShiftMedia-> I´m sure he is a top guy and all the best for him. My friendly advice is to be careful with these things.
