finally a video with some real technical riding in it, a nice change of pace from the smooth jump trail vids that frequent the home page with noticeable regularity. however, all i could think about when they were bombing down those root gardens was 62º head angle, 62º head angle, and more 62º head angle, still havent decided if i like that idea yet, and it can be kicked out to 60º. i mean going fast is sick especially when it gets gnarly, but its not champery, the wheel base would be 9 feet.
I'm not sure exactly where they were in the Alps, maybe Morzine or Chatel, but wherever it was is steeper than shit. That 62 head angle would be sweet where they were riding, and it didn't look like it was bothering them.
Its Morgins just over the Swiss border from Chatel, or at least the first bit is! Not the steepest as far as alpine riding goes but best mix of tech and speed and a lot of fun!
@team-robot, oh of course it looks fun! i was just questioning how such a long wheel base would affect handeling when it gets tight. but i would love to try one!
Morgins is too much fun, went there for 1 day this summe could have easily stayed longer. Top section is super smooth then you can get so loose on the bottom half
Yes definately morgins in the first part. awesome what ben shaped there and a good alternation from chatel. @Tomb-2 the black run in the lower part on the very right side (you have to cross the meadow after the drops and roots)..there it is steep as shite i thought. have you been at that part??? it is not very obvious so you might have missed that.
I dontknow if there is a misunderstanding but i really meant morgins only. the black run lower part...didnt mean champery at all iknow where that is and i know switzerland better than germany...
Goddamn every time I see the 2013 gambler it makes me wanna sell my stuff and get one and try downhill. Unfortunately, I'm broke and I'd probably Kill myself haha
Love this video!!
Went when only morzine and les gets were open last summer. wanted to spend the the rest of my life doing runs of "the canyon" near the chavannes chair lift. Pretty gutted the rest weren't open yet.

Morgins is about as far from Champéry as Whistler is from Blackcomb. And the trails are steeeeeep.
GIMMIE MY GAMBLER!!!!1
Is it everything you ever hoped for and more?
