Spank Spike 800 Race Vibrocore Handlebar - Review

Props to Spank for taking the green angle! They are right - carbon fibre, like plastic, is a material that is not biodegradable and we should be careful where we use it.

First Look: Rocky Mountain Blizzard

I've had some of the funnest times on my remedy in the snow. Overtaking & carving past sledgers was a blat. Plus your bike stays super clean and it doesn't hurt when you fall off. Yes, I would love this, unfortunately I live in a country full of drizzle not powder. As you say it's another way of riding a bike and increases the range of the MTB. And yeah, fat bike biathlon in the winter olympics?! Or fatbike vs snowboard DH.....bring it on

World's First 3D Printed Bike

yeah but I think this printer achieves 99.7% density, apparently higher than some castings. The software they used to design the seat tower is very cool. It analyzes the loads then optimizes a sort of bone/lattice type structure for best strength/weight. Six times over a german test is impressive. Hell of a job for a first attempt here!

World's First 3D Printed Bike

Designers have been using 3d prints for over a decade already & as the guy above says, making 10 frames on a 3d printer takes 10 times as long as 1. What is very cool about them is the shapes they can produce that other processes just can't. So a 3D printer is a great way to make certain things, and a stupid, inefficient way to make other things.

In the Chilcotins with the new Trek Slash

Sweet trip Finally got my Slash 7 on friday.....thought it would be just like my 08 Remedy but it does feel upgraded :) Stiffer, better rear end performance, looks more space agey...result!

Five Ten Shoes: Product Spotlight

Love the Sam Hills but......brand new pair + crampon pedals = most annoying squeak ever :( They are just too soft I reckon, press hard on the pedal and you are touching the axle and it's "eeeeeeekkk....eeeeeekkkk" Was gonna get rid of the pedals but may try the freeriders, if the sole is slightly thinner. Let me know if this worked for you
