I won't argue if it is dh or not... but definitely not a very technical track. It is pointing downhill though, so.... But it looks fun... and in the end of the day, that's what really matters!!!

It's because people give this track grief every year because it's not super gnar tech uber ultra true DH. Or something like that joe. Instead of just enjoying the event, coverage, and race.

yeah from being there the last few years, including this year, its an awesome dh event. the pros are just hanging out and having fun, sure they are still competitive, but really its like they are out riding with their buddies. At least that is the impression I get.

Part of what makes Sea Otter so great is that pros, groms, and old farts can all race on the same course. Can't do that with an uber-tech course.

Dude relax. Sea Otter is an industry event - Not at all a serious DH race. The races are just an opportunity for pros to get face exposure and, along with cat 1-3 racers, actually have some fun before the WC season starts.
