It's said so often, it's almost cliché...But Steve Peat is un-doubtably a legend. 20 consecutive years representing your country at World Champs is something most racers can only dream of.

With World Champs bringing the highest highs and the lowest lows of his racing career, 2012 was once again, one to remember... But for what reasons?

still hauling after all these years, i remember racing against Peaty (and Warner) in the quad descender at the Malvern Classic in the mid-late '90's, Peaty was giving some of us amateurs some suggestions on lines and how to carry speed in the wet (it was very wet!) and after putting some of those tips to good use I made it through the elimination rounds and into the top 32, albeit briefly!
True professional, true legend and an all round top guy. Cheers Peaty!

what was that? Looked like a tire blanket, or something.

The side knob pattern looks the same as the Minion, but the center thread under the blanket looks different, if you look at the shapes closely! Finally the update of one of the best tyres? Smile

I thought possibly to keep the mud off? And take it off at the start gate?
