Too many times the paint jobs don't match the contours of the frame but I think this job does it perfectly. Accentuates the swoopy lines, makes the carbon V-10 even more fast-looking. The UJ running up the back of the seat tube is sooo money. On the other hand the ENVE and other decals clouding up the rear triangle are less successfully oriented. But the ENVE logos on the wheels with the UJ are creatively placed and well done. "Bloody well done" as you foppish lads might say.
I give huge props to pro racers who can handle their own mechanical shit, and I saw video of Steve Peat building up the wheels on this bike himself. That is AWESOME.
@ chajcu I'm pretty sure it's Scotch brand rubber mastic tape 2228. It's made for electrical connections, but it works well as a chain stay protector. I buy it at Home Depot here, but I'm sure you could pick it up online somewhere.
That bike should be everyone on this site's dream downhill build. Shimano, Enve, Santa Cruz, Fox, okay, maybe not CrankBrothers pedals (okay, I guess if you have your own mechanic!)

To be honest, and it looks like I'm the only that thinks it, I don't like the look of the V10. It's not helped by the fact that everyone on the syndicate is well over 6 foot tall and rides a massive garden gate sized bike with 2 metres of seatpost showing!
Still gotta love Peaty though, hope he's up there as a contender this weekend.

Because he's tall, and it's to suit the track. You'll notice they ALL run taller front end set ups, and softer rear springs/compression tunes when the track get near vertical. It's all about balancing ones self on the bike.

Simply amazing. Santa Cruz has done an amazing job from engineering that finely crafted downhill rig (even though it is manufactured overseas to capitalize on the cost arbitrage of overseas labor) to the brillant marketing of The Syndacate. Makes me want to sell my Trek....Oh wait...Aaron Gwin has been killing it all year. I'm cheering for Peaty to win his first World Championship in his final professional race. That sh!+ better be streaming on Pinkbike. Go watch the movie The Tipping Point, a fantastic documentary on the top downhill riders including Peaty.

@davehayz93: Big manufacturers like Santa Cruz and Trek outsource the manufacturing (welding) of their frames overseas. Most are made in the facility actually owned by Giant.

I've heard about giant with another manufacture, I was under the impression it was just trek, wow that just opened my eyes! I will be finding out more about that!
Giant, and GLM (Giant Light Metals) will produce over 11 million bikes this year, about 5.2 million of which will have 'Giant' written on them, the rest will be Trek, Specialized (via Merida), Santa Cruz, every one else you can imagine pretty much.
And when it comes to rims, forget about it... GLM make ALL of WTB, most of Mavic (separate rims, not wheelset rims), DT Swiss, and so on and so on.
