Pinkbike's Burning Question - Should You Support Your Local Bike Shop or Buy Online?
well said, service means you serve. why should the effort be on the consumer? you want my money? extend a premium to me. not necessarily price but I want service don't call me dude and look me in the eyes, I sound like an old man but its just from having done it retail foe 5 years, I've noticed bike stores don't always extend this service. the one I was dealing with moved so that relationship I built over a couple of months now has to be established.

Aaron Gwin: Karma vs Drama
"money my dear boy" I can't fault him, he obviously got a better deal. Nothing wrong with that. Loyalty is not its own reward, and he has a limited window to make money from his skill set, capitalize and . its far too easy to say money or not, because you're on the not side, biking for most is a passion, not for the pro's; it is a job. I would do as he has done, because from a job perspective I would do it.

World Champs Preview - Leogang 2012
Nope, World Champs has no bearing on overall World Cup Standings, Championship: one race, World Cup: best overall. Also you race under your nation at World Champs. Also back in 2008 when Gee atherton won, the race was in the middle of the season before the olympics.

Teva Expands Bike Collection from Slopes to the Streets
Wouldn't colourway indicate that there is more than one? ( I know it does). Ummmm thanks for the brown/black? Maybe sell em at MEC because most of the customers there are inlove with earthtones? They're boring. That's what I'm saying, function aside, I want them to look cool as well. The only one I see worthy of wearing is the casual brown one, but its just Chuck Taylor low top rip off.

Specialized's Status - A New DH Bike For 2012
I think this a critical failure of understanding on the part of Mazze. The company's products barely differ, bikes roll down the hill, you pedal, parts act slightly differently but they all preform the same function. Ads are used to differ the product, to bring up how slight variations do "make their product the best", because the company is it it for profit, to succeed, not to really challenge the sport or something of that nature, it is simple they want to get paid. Pro riders are just a walking ad space, and tester of the product, they get paid or provided with bikes and because of this will promote their brand, as they should. However I'm not accusing the Specialized of doing anything that other companies in the past have done. Mazze here has simply failed to understand capitalism 101, the bike company exists to make money! Other wise bikes would be free, their goal is to sell the most bikes they can, using various methods, such as this ad. This is how it has always been and will continue to be. Keep asking questions but don't expect ads to change, because companies have to differentiate their product, in a market with a hell of a lot of the same thing.

Riding Trek's Session 9.9 in Whistler - First Impressions
Very pretty bike, too bad its a price way more than I'd ever consider paying for. I'm all for innovation but it seems like bikes are going for the most expensive options, if I wanted to spend money worrying about grams on grams, I'd be a roadie (not that I shitty on their skill but we've all met those weight weenies). Also homeboy's tattoo is proof that if life's about decisions he made a wrong one.
