The 2016 Trans-Cascadia wrapped up on Monday as a group of slow moving, hungover stragglers at basecamp had one last breakfast together. No one wanted the party to end; from the good times on bikes with the epic views and virtually untouched trails to the camaraderie of basecamp, the late night fires, and the even later drinks, it was hard to say goodbye. Trans-Cascadia was created to bring awareness and resources to the trails around Oakridge and McKenzie in Oregon - and from that has evolved a community. 100 people left the event on Monday with new friendships, renewed friendships, and stories that they will tell over and over.
Registration for the 2017 Trans-Cascadia opens on October 17 - the 2016 race sold out in 10 minutes - don't miss out!

| Darrin Seeds and Alex Gardner came up with the 'Go Hard' concept as a way to highlight the individuals who were leading the charge in all aspects of the event. Last year there were many people who threw caution to the wind, and almost put the racing as a secondary focus behind purely enjoying every minute of the event. So they really wanted a way to highlight these individuals; the ones who are pure soul riders. It's about racing, partying, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and so much more.
