Transition Bikes employee and pro rider Lars Sternberg welcomes guest rider Matt Slaven for some amazing January weather in the Northwest in search of the path least traveled. Their goal was to find super technical all mountain terrain that most mountain bikers wouldn't think of riding. Lars also welcomes professional photographer Tim Zimmerman along as they try to capture images for a Dakine ad.

There are trails like this down in Kentucky. And seeing this makes me want to drive down and ride it. I love super techy trail bike riding more than anything else. Where the sender line is a must if you wanna make it over the giant ditch between boulders, where you have to seriously think about who you are inviting on the ride because you don't feel like putting adult diapers in your pack.

I've hiked oyster dome many times but riding it on a trail bike takes some kahonas, some sections of that trail are hard to hike let alone ride!

There is no trail that cant be ridden somehow. I love trails like this where just staying upright is the name of the game.If you live in an area with hills but few mtb specific trails, this is a way of life. Yay gnar terrain.

someone should give Slaven some props, 'cause he's a boss as well. He's probably faster than me on a 'cross bike!

The Lars and Bars series is pretty rad! My one comment would be to spend more time on post product with colors - look at the photos of Tim's and try to make the video fit similarly.
