In this film we follow Jim Topliss through his long and hard winter of training. Winter is a stiff time for any athlete, but with discipline Jim hopes to be one step closer to his idols. With other riders hot on his heels, he hopes to compete in the 2015 Tour de France, if it doesn't clash with Farmer John's that is. A great insight to the training of a true Lettuce. Thanks to all the sponsorz. This is great banter.
Just a moment of respect for Martyn Ashton who pioneered this completely rediculous... Erm... Thing.... Great vid, but your going to have to offroad-roadie-duro harder to take the crown from the master! *tongue firmly in cheek, much props being given to all riders and filmers*
No disrespect intended to the great Martyn Ashton, but he pioneered doing trials on a road bike, these are just a bunch of lads riding cyclocross on... what looks like cyclocross bikes with a silly story added, all pretty standard and has been around for donkey's years.
i have done some offroading on my road bike. it is certainly different. fun, maybe not when the posture and geo are all wrong and the tyres have no grip. oh, and a radially spoked wheel to make sure it stays perfectly true... but all in all it was terrifying fun
They're cx bikes not road bikes anyway, one has mini vs and one has discs, look how wide the tyres are. They're designed to be ridden offroad, which makes this actually fairly mundane comapred to actual cx
I hate this kind of argument. I personally think the Spice Girls are a bit rubbish. I have never released a song as good as any of theirs. I still think they are rubbish. I think Critters is a bit of a crap film. I have never made a film as good. I still wouldn't recommend you watch it. I think a ProBike Escape is a bit of a crap mountainbike. I have never released anything better. Does that mean I am not allowed to tell anyone I don't like them?
It's just when you put a lot of effort into something and the first person to comment just knocks you down, this video is awesome doesn't matter if road bikes have been ridden off road before it still takes balls to go out and actually do it, the filmings good the ridings good and it made me want to get out on my road bike this morning so thumbs up to them
@cowsie93 Unfortunately pal its fellas with attitudes like yours that feel the need to start directly slagging people of that they don't even know that bring the whole thing down. I'm sorry if they are mates of yours and peoples comments have personal pissed you off, but if you put something creative up on a public forum do you expect anything less?
I'm also sorry that somebody stating what discipline something might be, makes us "know it all twats", surely the twat is the one with limited knowledge bumbling around with play ground comebacks like " i didn't see anything better on your profile" and chirping off swearing on a forum to random blokes hiding behind stupid user names?
For the record video was enjoyable, never said it wasn't .

You need to ride the 3 Peaks CX, then you'll realise what those bikes can handle !!
