Another night of beer league downhill racing was wrapped up last night with the Phat Wednesday Series presented by Kokanee. Race 3, had a turnout of over 220 racers on a tight and technical course though there were a few complaints of too much pedaling. The so called pedally course included Upper Angry Pirate -> Crabapple Turns -> EZ Does It -> Shady Acres -> Del Boca Vista -> EZ Does It. A whole lot of tech and yes a little bit of pedaling.

In the open male category Remy Metailler continued his streak from last week taking the top spot and fastest man of the night with a time of 3:17.46. Zander Geddes 3:18.83 and Denis Courchesne 3:19.40 rounded out the men’s podium. Claire Buchar continued to dominate the open women’s field making it three from three in the series. Buchar put in a solid 10 seconds on the rest of the women’s category with at time of 3:23.28. In the old man masters category the trends continued with Shane Gayton taking the win for the second week in a row with a time of 3:23.92. Taking 1st place in the Junior Male category for the first was Bracken Camilleri with a time of 3:22.57.
Here's Remy Metailler's winning race run from last night.
Race après and awards were held on the BRAND NEW patio at the GLC. Lots of draw prizes were given out thanks to all of our bike park sponsors and some ice cold Kokanees were enjoyed.
