Thanks for the kind words CG! There are always 2 sides to every story. So here’s ours: We do not own Cedric Gracia, his channel was never in our network. We work with 500 creators worldwide and everyday we protect their content, help them grow their audiences, earn more revenues and get access to equipment and brand opportunities. In this specific case, we reached out to the producer of a web series and were authorized to upload and monetize it on our channels with a 50/50 split on all revenues earned. We pushed the content with marketing budget to make sure it got the views it deserved with links/credits back to the producer as requested & we paid the producer royalties. The producer also used our music library. 2 years later after receiving several strikes we tried to work with Cedric to understand and find a solution. We directed traffic to Cedric’s channel using end screens, we edited a channel trailer for him and gave it to him, we made a presentation with top suggestions for growing his audience. Moreover we offered to help him manage his copyright on YouTube and Facebook using our tools, but nothing was good enough and Cedric refused to accept the offer. XTreme also produced a MTB series called MTB Insights in which we dedicated a whole episode to Cedric and give him great exposure. XTreme is a content creator and we’ve had to deal with a lot of our footage being freebooted/stolen so we totally understand Cedric’s anger but it’s misplaced in targeting Xtreme!
