I've been racing pro for 4 years now and have been on the fence about women specific events. This summer I decided to give a couple of the women's enduro's a chance (Hot On Your Heels and Sturdy Dirty-Oakrdidge) and had a great time...but still I struggled to find my place in this female movement. I traveled 19 hours by car to give Roamfest a try and you know what? I LOVED IT! The support among the participants and industry attendees was absolutely inspiring, and riding with women I haven't ridden with before was even more eye opening. On Saturday I rode with a large group of gals who were so tenacious and stoked to hit every challenging feature on the trail. The party Saturday night was so rowdy and also so safe and fun. I will be coming back and I will absolutely bring more chicks. Cheers to Ash and all the amazing women who made my weekend on of the best ever!

yeah, whats going on here?

Pretty sure redbull rampage and hardline and most speed&style and slopestyle events don't or haven't in the past included women. It's not about exclusion anyhow, it's about including all types of people. And at the moment, these supportive all womens races are introducing more and more females to the magic of mtb racing. It's a positive thing! I promise! Come out and volunteer at one and you'll see how it's only a positive thing for the sport. cheers.
