That Soil......

Leroy, when, ever, have people been annoyed at local pro riders coming to a local race? Ill tell you, never. We all love to see these guys ripping in the flesh. If you're not competitive and don't wish to be then you won't be racing in the elite/pro class. And if you do want to be competitive, what better than to have someone like sam hill to set a bench mark? So ehats the problem.? here in aus, we dont get a lot of pros racing our national series, but recently we had Hill, Graves, Hannah, Kovarik and more, and it was awesome. You're clutching at straws now mate, cool it.

The only times I've ever really needed one was doing up head bolts on a motor and various other pressure related mechanisms... But if you can afford to keep one in your kit, then it's certainly not a bad thing! Interestingly, I recall following the recommended torque on a crank bolt.... I won't say that I can tell by feel how many Nm's I'm putting on a bolt, but the recommended amount was nowhere near enough....

rbka - Sounds like you're having a jealous hissy-fit. Dirt riding across ALL disciplines (bmx, mtb, moto) has always been about getting your adrenaline pumping. So now that its in the big arena in a more spectacular light somehow makes it wrong? Many, many peoplehave copped gnarly injuries doing this OUTSIDE of the arena, as im sure there a few who have received horrible injuries doing these big shows. In fact, probably everyone who is into dirt riding has endured some heavy injuries - I have my fair share of metal in my legs, but I keep doing it anyway. Get over it, or take up/follow a different sport. Mad respect to all of the riders involved. Some serious skills and kahunas are on display!

Spot on! Its tight, fast and rocky, for most of the track.... plenty of helmet splitting branches to duck under too!

The course is slightly different from last year. The track conditions also change a lot from year to year, and there's a couple of extra turns. So, not a good comparison!

I think most of, if not all, the contraversy has risen because Gwin is the best rider on the circut, he's the man the to beat. It attracts a lot of attention. TWR will snag another top rider, GwIn will continue to dominate, and we'll all forget this ever happend. (what ever "this" is).
