bigquotesI have always taken inspiration for my riding not only from my peers and my sport, but from other sports as well. Starting from a young age, I was always a fan of the high flyers. From Terje Haakonsen to Michael Jordan to Bubba Stewart - I can't get enough of watching these guys seemingly defy gravity. The feeling of weightlessness at the apex of an air has led me on a constant pursuit of hang time. It's a journey that doesn't have an end, but one that a lot of gravity riders can relate to. When Shimano told me that new Saint was ready to be put through its paces, we set out to build a jump that would maximize amplitude and style. The result really reminded me how far we have come in the ten short years since Saint was first introduced... and it was a whole lot of fun! - Thomas Vanderham

Nicky Hayden's race number, 69 is fun and symmetrical, how mature should one be to pick a number? great advert I wish T.V had those ones instead of toilet cleaning products.

"More people trying it" Seemed like one of the most honest things I've seen in a biking video. Nothing like "more people pushing the limits". Just get people to try it and have fun. Smile

Just different strokes for different folks. I don't like to draw too many comparisons between this and slopestyle/dirt jump riders and styles. Different disciplines. Slopestyle has been slowly morphing into a bigger badder version of bmx. I have no problem with this. It's just the evolution..... do I miss the old days ? Yeah. But I don't have an issue with anybody who sends it on a bike. Vanderham's classic freeride style always does it for me though. Glad he is still on the scene and glad people are still enjoying him launching big bikes with style.

No. But if you already can ride at the same level then you know your saint components will hold up to the abuse you put it through

flag mirdad (Jun 19, 2012 at 8:56)
I was wondering the same thing. Its just a photo stunt which is cool, but not something any of us deal with out on the trail. Great style, I definitely wouldn't be able to do it, but a huge dj isnt selling me on Saint.
