I would agree pulling up isn't really the answer. I have ridden that trail and I don't ever recall needing to pull up. Just some a little speed and letting it naturally send you out. Hope the damage wasn't too bad to you and your bike.

Pinkbike Poll: How Far Away Are Your Closest DH Trails?
So it takes me an hour drive. It jumps from minutes away to arrange a shuttle or vacations as the next options? I wouldn't say it takes much of an effort, but its a little more than a few minutes. Seems like they missed a whole group of people.
