They are developing a bike into their own friend, they just jumped on it and are working it into shape, if you think you can just jump on a bike and take it to the bleeding edge of world cup downhill like it is now you are delusional. They have to be utterly confident of every inch of that bike and its geometry or they can get horrifically injured or worse. Look what happened when Gee jumped on the 29er of Trek... he crashed BAD. They develop bikes as a part of racing, and they are moving at light speed prototyping their bikes... Gee is on prototype like 9 or more... Rach is on 8 or 9 for herself.
