Cut & paste from the race website just now:
"Ashland Mountain Challenge is in it's 4rd year. Formally the 12 Mile Super D with a 6 year history, It has changing formate to Enduro. This will have racers racing more “Stages” on more trails than previous years. Our goal is to grow with the All Mountain category, as well as provide racers more time on thier bike and a better overall experience.
The event will encompass both the Eastern and Western ridges of Mt. Ashland. With this, we will have racers from the Pro and Cat 1 on one ridge, while the Cat 2 riders are starting thier race simultaneously on the other ridge. The Racers once finished with thier first leg/ridge, will the then be shuttled to the next leg/ridge. There will be climbs involved to get to each stage, but not timed, only the descents which will have small burst type climbs but mostly descents. This formate promises to reward racers that are skilled, fit and on All Mountain Bikes, 5-6in. Travel, 25-35lbs."
