Video: Jack Fogelquist - Let it Roll

May 26, 2012 at 10:30
by Keegan Quiroz
Videos of Santa Cruz have become a bit repetitive, usually being of Post Office, step-up jumps, and the same local trails. Jack and I wanted to do something different; build unique stunts that push the local riding scene. Something that would make even our friends say "Whoa, where's that?". We spent the winter digging hard, cutting in new trails, buttering up old ones, resurrecting old hits, and building new lines of our own. The days were long, digging until we were completely satisfied. We feel we accomplished what we had set out to do, and hope our hard work is evident.

Potential Buyer: "So, how did it get those scratches on the fork stanchions?"

Jack: "Oh, thats just from beating the living sh@t out of it in the back of my truck."

(sick riding btw)

ha crazy shit. i was looking at those train tracks last week and i thought i saw a run up to jump it but i didnt bother walking down to it cuz i didnt think anybody would hit it. soooo sick

the landing is shit. i dunno when the railroad gap was filmed but the rains destroyed it.
  • + 1
crap, that means i have to get back down there and rebuild it! haha the first time I built it someone kicked it down after a few months. At least it has lasted this long
  • + 1
awesome concept. i think the problem is that now theres only loose gravely stuff for a landing. om when youre gonna go build. id love to lend a hand trailbuilding

This is what I like to see constantly pushing the sport. The santa cruz videos did get a little old sometimes. Nice to see someone took notice and did something about itl

Saw you fuckers smoothing that railroad gap up a couple weekends ago..... That thing is no joke, steep ass landing... Big up big up.
  • + 1
i happy to hear other people know about this gap. i built it up a few times in the past year (it looked like there had been something there years ago, but it was not big enough to clear the tracks), but have never seen it in any other videos but mine.

the landing it really steep. i over cleared it last year and came down head first on the flat (aka ~35ft+ drop)... bent my wheel, but walked out with a few scratches and a tweaked shoulder (healed in a week)
