Specialized Roubaix SL2 Custom Carbon Road Bike

$425 GBP
Up for sale is my lovingly restored Specialized Roubaix SL2. The seat-tube is 49cm c-to-top, but effective measurement is closer to 52/3. I originally bought the bike as a project that sort of snowballed into a labour of love. However, as my first foray into proper road cycling, I've found that it isn't for me (this thing has seen 200 miles, tops), so it’s time to change things up and move on to the next project. The bike has been cared for and maintained by myself (a professional bicycle mechanic) and stripped/cleaned regularly. As such, it’s been in great condition since I first put it together. The frame has been resprayed by myself to a fair standard (admittedly, there are some flaws up close). It does have a couple of small chips and areas of wear, but nothing out of the ordinary. The parts on it, other than the seat clamp are all brand new for this build, and therefore are about 6 months old in total. The groupset is the brand new Shimano Tiagra 4700 – essentially a ten speed 105 setup with all of higher groupset’s innovations. It runs an 11-30t cassette with compact double gearing up front, coupled with lovely crisp shifting and great power transfer. Honestly, everything you’ve read about 105, you can apply to the new Tiagra groupset. Putting that power on the ground is the job of a de-stickered Giant SL37 aero wheelset with Schwalbe Durano Etape tyres. They’re strong, straight, true, and go like stink. Rounding the kit off is a Specialized carbon fibre straight seatpost and a Ritchey comp stem. All in all, it’s a belter of a bike suitable for someone up to around 5'10". Included in the sale is a full spare set of Clarks Elite brake pads.

Specialized Roubaix SL2 carbon (custom build) - 48cm

$525 GBP
Up for sale is my lovingly restored Specialized Roubaix SL2. I originally bought the bike as a project that sort of snowballed into a labour of love. However, as my first foray into proper road cycling, I've found that it isn't for me (this thing has seen 200 miles, tops), so it’s time to change things up and move on to the next project. Putting that power on the ground is the job of a de-stickered Giant SL37 aero wheelset with Schwalbe Durano Etape tyres. They’re strong, straight, true, and go like stink. Rounding the kit off is a Thomson Elite layback seatpost and X2 stem. All in all, it’s a belter of a bike. I'm 5'10" which is why I've had it set up with the Thomson layback seatpost (admittedly, the bike is a bit small for me), but I'll throw in a Specialized carbon straight post and a Ritchey 100mm stem to size it down. Ideally, it'll suit up to about 5'8" with that setup, then up to around 5'10" with the Thomson kit. Included in the sale is also a full set of Clarks Elite brake pads, as well as the Specialized carbon seatpost and Ritchey comp stem. Feel free to make offers!

Mongoose Maurice custom build Single Speed / Fixed Gear

$495 GBP
For sale is a very special Mongoose Maurice - as ridden HARD by Chris Akrigg (will not make you ride as well as Chris Akrigg). This little bike has had some serious upgrades from the 2011 base model (best colour scheme if you ask me) to make it probably the best riding town/city bike out there. I’m only selling as I’ve lined up my next project. It has been meticulously maintained by a professional bike mechanic (me!) and performs better than any off-the-peg version. Feel free to message me for more details. I’ll entertain offers if they’re not silly, and may post at buyers expense if something can be arranged. Comes with a free set of Freedom Thickslick tires which have been barely used (worth £40) and a 42t chainring. Specs are as follows: Frame: 2011 Mongoose Maurice Singlespeed/Track frame - Med. Fork/Headset: 3T Pro Funda full-carbon (£220- only fitted this Jan) / Cane Creek Crankset/Bottom Bracket: RH+O Shuriken / Tange Cartridge sealed Pedals: Odyssey Twisted LTD. Saddle/Seatpost: Comfy OEM saddle / Post Moderne micro-adjust (Plus limited edition Ass-Savers mudguard) Front Wheel/Hub/Tire: Weinmann Thunderbird 32 V-section / Formula Sealed / Halo Twin-Rail courier puncture protect Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire: Weinmann Thunderbird 32 V-section / Formula Sealed / Halo Twin-Rail courier puncture protect £500 o.b.o
