Pinkbike Primer: The EWS Season Kicks Off on Dusty Trails in the Tweed Valley This Week
@thenotoriousmic: yeah, just invest some money to provide better coverage and perhaps people would watch. People only watch highlights when they miss the game or sporting event. People don't want to watch only highlights in lieu of race coverage. I love EWS as a concept but frankly it just pisses me off I can't ever watch it, which makes me hate it.

@nozes: too bad there's no money without sponsors, and sponsors quickly disappear with no viewers or viewer interest.

Pinkbike Primer: The EWS Season Kicks Off on Dusty Trails in the Tweed Valley This Week
@PauRexs: I just put that in so I didn't get all the comments about the trails being so remote and so tight, and I didn't want to deal with them. I didn't expect to get a contradictory comment by putting that disclaimer in there ha.

EWS really needs to get better video coverage somehow. I understand the limitations, but it's hard to get excited about EWS when you can barely see any of the racing. Downhill coverage has gotten way better over the years. EWS can too.

Opening Day Survey 2022: What People Are Riding at the Whistler Bike Park
@ABhardtail: yeah, but weird the sharp decrease after. You'd think those same people would still be wearing them. Unless they tried it, just hated how they feel, and said F it.

Opening Day Survey 2022: What People Are Riding at the Whistler Bike Park
Trending is very interesting on these articles. For example, you can see a sharp spike in neck braces worn in 2020, then a big decrease ever since, with practically none in 2022. I wonder what accounts for that. The wheel size trend is also interesting, but that one makes much more sense.

Myriam Nicole Reveals She Has Been Struggling with Concussion Symptoms Since the Lourdes DH World Cup
@sino428: I read the entire thing. Those baselines are used for long-term symptom evaluations as well as cumulative side effects from repeated head impacts, not during sideline assessments. You can see they also have a list of no-go criteria. The sideline assessment is very similar to one medical personnel would give when responding to a TBI, and doesn't need a baseline. So either way you're completely wrong that they can't do anything to evaluate riders for concussion symptoms before sending them back to race.
