This is a version with steel front triangle, right? Any idea on geometry? It is no longer avalable on canfield site.

It would be quite easy to detect that you are in free fall, or doing a manual - then pedal or no, the input from pedals will be ignored and suspension will be tuned accordingly. And besides, a "when in doubt, don't lock the suspension" rule should work allright.

While it does look ubersexy and priced very good, I suspect that someone mistook that frame for DH and built it up accordingly :) Perhaps, it would make a make a DH-worthy rig... for a 140-pound rider. 780mm bars and single ring on a carbon trailbike? I'd take it over SC nomad any day though.

Well, this IS an XC bike! It is not even true AM bike. Trail bike. Not DH/FR at all - this is Pivot's Firebird and Phoenix. Should have bought Mach 4 if you think that extra 40mm of height is significant - though DW-link is VERY efficient. I'd keep it if I were you.
