Jan 1, 2018Custom Tow-In Winch
$800 USDCustom tow winch for wakeboard, wakeskate, skimboard or snowboard. I'm sure you could even find other uses for it!
I developed this design a few years back after seeing what was out there and taking design queues from some of the best winches on the market, then came to this final iteration. I had intentions of building a handful of these (I'm a metal fabricator by trade) but work and home-life have kept me busy and unable to produce more of these (let alone actually use this one...) Mostly used to tow in to shorebreak at the beach on skimboards, but they are most popular for wakeboard/wakeskate. Also super fun to tow in on snowboards!
Some Key features: 6.5hp motor, CVT automatic "transmission", 600ft of line, wide tires for rolling over sand, integrated anchor stakes double as handles for transport, splash shields, adjustable speed (from 15-30mph), hitch mounts (use tow hitch on truck to transport or to anchor winch for use).
Only thing that's missing is the top splash shield, which doesn't really need to be there. One of my friends stepped on it and the acrylic cracked so I took it off. It still has the splash shield to keep the reel from spitting water at the engine.
These winches are super fun, I just don't have time to use it any more. Please message me if you have questions or want to check it out!
