Pinkbike Poll: Who Introduced You to Mountain Biking?
Father was National Champion for Trials Riding, was snooping around his office one day and stumbled upon some pictures of my dad absolutely killing it on his Trials Bike. I was 11 at the time, and my dad was not willing to spend the money on a Trials Bike bike for me on top of gas. That following summer I sprayed painted my first bike and made it look like a BMX bike and went on the local trails that don't allow biking on them. After a lot of convincing and some chores my dad bought me my first mountain bike a KHS Alite 2000, loved it. 6 years later and a couple races in my belt im happy to say that i still ride with my friends out on the West Coast but when ever i get the chance to go home and visit family ( i go to a boarding school) i get the opportunity to ride with the most rad, most encouraging trail buddy out there my dad, thanks dad for getting me into this sport and heres to another 6 years of shredding

Trek Fuel Ex 8

$1400 CAD
I am selling my 2012 Trek Fuel Ex 8. This bike has been nothing but great and through out the 2 years I had it I have nothing to complain about. A great climber and a great descender this bike has 120mm but with its DRCV (Dual Rate Control Valve) technology makes it feel like you have 140mm+. This bike has just been fitted with new Shimano SLX brakes and the new Shimano XT rear derailleur. If interested contact me by either: Phone: 416 763 3999 (my dad will answer) Pinkbike: Message me on Pinkbike Email: Send me and email at Specs: Fox 32 Float RL 120mm Travel Fox Flot RP-2 w/DRCV 7.25x2.0 Shimano SLX M666 hydraulic disc brakes Bontrager XR4 Expert, 26x2.2" Tires Trek's Full Floater Technology 1.5 Tapered Head Tube if you have any further questions about the bike or request some photos let me know and ill do my best to get some photos or answer your questions Cheers, Bennett

Opinion: How To Save Downhill Racing
Downhill races need to get the attention of mainstream channels in North America, Europe everywhere because to be honest i watch all races on Red and everyone know about red bull (the DRINK) but not that fact that red bull has such a presence in Extreme Sports. Also UCI needs to expand too many races are being held off of North American soil there are two races Windham and MSA when there are millions of places to hold DH events over here. Not to take anything away from the present and past courses but cleary they are capturing the eye of the audience if we have an issue with DH fading, DH needs to get popularity in POPULATED areas or else no one will catch on. Because having events in South Africa and Norway and Fort William which is miles away from major population is not working the courses are great and have history but are too far out of the way for the general public to spend there time and money to go and watch. So in all i think the main issue is the the location of these races obviously you cant have a race in the city centre (unless its Urban DH) so you need to find venues close to major populations so they know about the race. Lots of writing for someone who doesnt even ride DH :)
