After a request from Duncan PhilPOD, I decided to do a little blog highlighting my videos and other videos of riding bikes this year...
Start off back in January, revision to be done but that wasn't going to stop me riding bikes...
Went out over revision period on short 1/2hr rides around my very local trails, normally under 20 mile loops door to door, running super fast on frozen ground, and never really knew where the limit of grip was.
After exams the Uni Club decided to treat itself to a weekend trip to Lee Quarry. Unfortunately it snowed on the days leading up to the trip, and we decided to run it anyway, ending up in some interesting riding conditions, and unfortunately a sliced open hand.
As the weather faired up, the first proper day of riding trails came about on April the 1st. One of many sessions down at Monkey bumps this year, and feel like I've really become a 'Local' there now.
Ok so this is definitely the longest video of the year, and the longest ride too. Over 100km in the peak district, starting at 4am, 12 hours of riding. Was truely an epic day, can't wait for next year!
This next video is courtesy of Nick Hamilton. My Beer downing skills are definitely better than my riding skills- over the bars on the first turn, in a pothole. One brake, slick tyre madness.
Over the summer I finally lived the dream and got to spend 2 weeks out in morzine riding. Definitely the best holiday ever, and the greatest two weeks of my life. Awesome trails, loads of laughs, and plenty of stubbies drunk.
After landing flips to foam at the end of last year, It was inevitable that one was going to get sent to dirt at some point this year. Joe sent one over the summer, so 2 weeks later I drank a substantial can of the man-the-f*ck-up and went big on the stepup at woburn. Definitely my highlight of the year.
Hope you watched a few of the videos in this post if anything, hoping to drop a bit of a winter edit from the clips I've taken recently-
Till next year!
