Scott Voltage FR 710 - Review
I think the more extreme the race bikes get, the more of these we'll start seeing.... There's already the uzzi, the NS soda, the Voltage, the banshee darkside, the tr500 (in 180 mode) the session park, the commencal FR... I'm sure there's more!

wouldn't be able to run the anglesets so much without a straight 1.5" headtube. aaand 135 spacing to keep the rental companies happy

Scott Voltage FR 710 - Review
the gambler requires you have some terrifyingly steep shit on your doorstep to even begin to challenge it. if you want to win races, buy a gambler, if you just want to tool around in the woods with your mates saying "I bet you can't...." and "wouldn't it be cool if...." before a trip to the ER then buy this!

First Ride: 2016 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR
that's how innovation works... early adopters come up with something, then when it is deemed successful, the mainstream brands use it... a manufacturer with a production run of a couple of hundred - a thousand frames can afford to experiment a bit more! (and cock up on one run, able to change the next) compared to runs of tens of thousands of bikes.

First Ride: 2016 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR
sounds funny, but I think trek, specialized and giant are all victims of their own success. They make bikes that are about the ultimate compromise, particularly in the trail bike genre. but because they're trying to be all things to all people then they loose some of the personality that comes with a bike that may have a more extreme compromise, look at transition bikes or commencal, nobody argues that they don't have flaws, particularly when riding uphill, but they have personality in spades compared to the big three

Pinkbike Poll: What will you be riding in the bike park this year?
Then when he goes on a trail ride, he's clipping his 780mm bars on trees, and left for dead by everyone on 120-140 trail bikes...
