Scott Gambler 20

$2500 CAD
I have for sale a 2013 Scott Gambler 20 with a few extra bits on it. In the pictures it has 888's on it but when it is sold they will be replaced with a BRAND NEW set of Boxxer's. I have also upgraded the brakes to Shimano Saint's which are ridiculously good stoppers with about 85% pad life left. This thing rides so insanely nice and has been kept in really good condition being cleaned after every other ride. The brakes have just been bled and they feel brand new. Before it is sold the whole bike will get a full overhaul with everything stripped off the frame, cleaned, then re assembled to make sure it's in sweet working order. I bought this bike brand new last October and has been a good first DH race bike. Viewing is more than welcome, just PM me.

First Look: Shimano XTR Di2 Electric Shifting
You pinkbike guys seem to know everything about gearboxes and how they should work, why don't you just make one? If it's as simple as, mounting a servo inside a hub, making it lightweight with a wide range, sealed bearing and zero maintenance, you could just make one yourself! When Chris Hilton (Sram drivetrain designer) came to NZ someone asked him the question why don't you make a gearbox, he responded: "There are 16 different variations of Sram XX to cater for different frame designs/specifications. If bike companies can't agree on a standard way to mount a normal drivetrain to their bikes, imagine how difficult it would be to get them to all change their frame designs to cater for this one gearbox hub that SRAM would make."

Opinion: Further Faster - Thoughts on the Coming E-Ride Revolution
ughh i'm so sick of people comparing bikes to moto's saying they can get a top of the line DH bike for 10k or the latest yz250 for 8k or whatever. But that 8k moto isn't top of the line. The bikes that the likes of Villopoto or Stewart are riding are 150k+.
