I bought this bike in June 2013 and during the 8 years in my possession it has always seen the best maintenance and proper love. I myself fell for the unique paintjob that this bike has. It is the bike that Rocky Mountain built especially for the 20th anniversary of the brand in 2008. Only 20 bikes were made with this paintjob and the bellacoola wheelset (with the unique logo lasered into the hubs). On the frame you can find a logo that says 4/20, the fourth copy of 20 bikes worldwide. To my knowledge there is only one other flatline anniversary 20 in the Netherlands, and that is number 5/20. I once had contact with this person but I have no idea if this bike is still in the Netherlands. The best part is that when you put this bike away in a bike park and go for a bite to eat or something similar, how many people stop to have a look or a chat with you at the lift. You really notice that you are on a unique piece of equipment. Beyond the piece of looks, this bike really rides like a plow through everything in your path. The bike is potent enough for big jumps, gaps and drops but I find it especially suitable for rock gardens and technical downhill. This is mainly due to the super strong wheelset. It has been on my bike since the beginning and I have owned it since 2013. I have had to replace a spoke a few times but the wheelset has never given a groan. The cane creek double barrel eats up all the heavy hits like it's nothing! Furthermore, the bike is assembled with the best stuff (mainly shimano saint). I switched from a specialized big hit to this bike and have made huge improvement with this bike. I am a bike mechanic myself and have always maintained this bike as a matter of course. After every bike park visit everything was checked, lubricated and polished and at the end of the season it was pretty much taken apart for major maintenance, for the last time 1 week ago after my visit to Chatel (France). If something was broken I always replaced it immediately for a similar part. I also have a number of spare parts with the purchase. I have never ridden this bike gently so the necessary crashes and wear has been made as well. - Dent in rear rim, I didn't even cause this one! Has been there since 2013. Have proof of this :) - Scratches and dents here and there (use sports) in the frame and on the wheels - The rear derailleur is at the end of its life, still shifts flawlessly but you notice that it rattles a lot because the tension of the cage is gone. All in all I am selling a bike that is ready to go to the bike park and has recently had a lot of new top quality parts.
