"We have a problem in Los Angeles, our city has many skate parks and dozens of facilities to support other sports, but 0 sanctioned bike parks and our city is plastered with signs ’No Bikes Allowed’. It's all pirate trails or secret spots that are often destroyed after countess hours of work to build them...a common controversial issue I’m sure you are all familiar with." says Brian Clark.

Pretty amazing how popular bikes are despite constant attempts to crush the sport. Imagine how many people would be on bikes if it was promoted half as hard as ridiculous games like football. Every neighborhood in LA could have a killer bike park for a fraction of what they are going to throw away on a football stadium that maybe a few hundred people a year will play in.

We fully support this! We are working with IMBA to build a bike park in Fullerton, CA

Great video! Really shows that biking is not a crime and how much of idiots those people look when they call the cops or take our trails down for no reason. Really hope this whole bike park works out in LA because they really need it!

Seeing this video made me realize how much I miss Post Office. That was a land mark for people to come together and share a common interest. Having people down in LA that want to create something that will bring people together is not only good for the community, but good for the sport.

This will help change the lifestyle of many guys in our area to not only have mountain biking trails but now finally a place that will flourish in dirt jumps. great idea.

Done! Even if I hate traveling to the west side I agree that the LA residents need a place to ride. I hope this movement spreads across SoCal. We need a REAL bike park in Orange County as well. Fullerton bike park does not count because it is too far away from central OC. Cheers!

IMBA and OC parks here in Orange County are planning on building a bike park with a dirt jump and more! I hope they go through with it. It suppose to be a 10 acres in Craig Park Fullerton.

I currently live in Virginia and don't know when I will be able to ride in LA, but gladly signed this and threw some bucks down to promote it. Good lucks guys...really hope this happens!

They mention that there is a bike park in Orange County....? Anyone know where it is? I ride AM/DH in OC all the time but wasn't aware there was a dirt jump park. I'd love to check it out

Meanwhile, ex marine bases in tustin and el toro(both oc/ca) have sprouted tons of stick n ball facilities, cookie cutter housing n townhomes (oc version of detroits projects).
Makes me wna get a public administration degree n work it...but, these guys are so corrupted.
It takes waaay too many bureaucrats to get anything done.

So cool. This is exactly what this sport needs. I feel bad for those who want to ride, but in places such as LA which has no resources to make it their dreams happen. So sweet. I'm in!

This is exactly what we need. It's so hard to find jumps around here in LA County. It would be a huge step forward if we could get this passed. I would gladly pay to ride this place.

Best comment so far Smile That's the idea! Los Angeles has skate parks everywhere including some of best in the world e.g. Venice...why can't we have space for Post Office-quality bike parks around the city too?

Its going to be inside a park in fullerton called Craig Park. It isn't build or let alone started on the construction yet, but hopefully they start soon. OC Parks and IMBA teamed up with other companies to get it started. You can check it out here ocparks.com/about/projects/craig_park_bike_facility
